Make collection intentional
Define the source, connector, collection schedule, and mapping for a feed. Bring selected source observations into the model rather than treating every system as an unbounded stream.
See what each execution did
Inspect run history, collected records, errors, and timing. Source references keep observations connected to the device or system that produced them.
Monitor the collector as well
Pipeline performance and node resource telemetry help operators understand rate, latency, duration, and the pressure on small edge nodes.
Investigate collection with the evidence attached
Agents with the appropriate grants can inspect feed metadata, returned raw observations, and feed schemas. This provides context for questions about the source and meaning of a signal.
Reads are bounded and scoped. A missing record in a limited result does not establish that collection never occurred; inspect the reported coverage and retained execution history.
